Early Childhood Education at BLC involves active learning with hands-on activities.  We offer choices that allow each child to succeed, while building self-esteem and independence. At this early age, PLAY is a child's job. When children play they learn to work together, how to take turns, problem-solving skills, how to communicate, self-confidence, how to use their imagination.....and the list goes on. Music is played for movement, coordination, muscle development, rhythm and much more, making it an important factor in active learning. Bible stories and verses are presented at age-appropriate levels throughout each class.

3's Classes

3's Classes use Essential Preschool Curriculum. Essentials curriculum seamlessly weaves education concepts and God’s truth, teaching children the most fundamental reality—God is part of our everyday lives!  Ideas for Bible Time, Teaching Time (language, science, social studies, math), and Center Time (art, block, book, dramatic play, fun foods, games, music & movement, outdoor, puzzles, writing, and sensory table) are included in each week's thematic lesson plans.

3's Classes also use two books from ABeka Curriculum. Letters and Sounds for 3's is a beginning ABC book that helps young children recognize letter shapes and learn letter sounds. Number and Skills with Button Bear helps children sharpen their listening skills, follow directions, and practice eye-hand coordination as they learn number concepts 1-15.
